Some line we used mutter a lot when we were kids. Birthday was a day every kid used to plan for month and year at times. When our parents thought that we would forget the promise of a New Bicycle that they said we would be gifted on our next birthday. Birthdays are always special and full of memories.

There was something special about Birthdays while at school. With no worries and all chocalates and gifts:) There didn't used to be a special day off, but I guess no kid even wanted that. Who would like to miss the opportunity to being dressed in color dress rather than the school uniform and be out of herd. Who would not like to be a Santa Clause for one day and distribute chocalates and smiles to friends in class. Not to forget special choclates for close friends. Who would like to not meet and talk to that beautiful girl(whom you dont dare to talk usually) in other group and get wishes from her. God, birthday at school used to make us like the hero of class who should be special and taken care of. No homework check or tests by teachers too:)

I wonder how many of us even faked our birthdays to get this special attention. It used to be a sad part if birthdays used to come on a holiday.

Things always got different when we grow up though. We meet less friend. Maybe just one when committed. Want an Off from work. And don't care about gifts and wishes.

Don't let the age and time take over your feelings. Something that even God would be envying us for is Friends and Birthdays:)

This is a story about 103 birds who joined L&T Infotech in May'05. Some of you who were not a part of this, might not have understood my last blog..So to your rescue, here is a bit of detail writeup from a very good friend(a MDI Gurgaon MBA'ite)

""We met as strangers with only one identity- LTIL. Some people knew some of us but mostly everyone was new to everyone. Meetings and greetings, bye bye to parents, exploring Kanchanjanga, A wing, B wing, FAm building, SriDevi, Bhawani, Gurukripa, D-Mart, Panchratna, Navratna, Meghdoot  etc etc.. Many of us met and got to know each other on those 3 steps outside FAM, the best place to observe others and get observed by others.  Moving on to professional world..Getting up early, leaving by 7.15am and coming back by 10pm was tough for many. On the first day we enter Powai ; building, Induction which meant fun and fun only. Next stop was Jukaso House. Though the building wasn’t as fancy as one would have liked yet it was a full house. It seemed to be back to school days.. We were being watched by people like 65. It became fun to play pranks. E-learnings. Tricks to clear tests. Lonavala training session. Antakshri in the Bus. 1st visit to Chaupati, Nariman Point, Juhu beach. Every bird was enjoying its flight. Every day was a new day. Then came 26th July when some of our friends got caught by nature and some of us went out on their risk to get our friends back and safe. That made the bonds even stronger. Ganpati celebrations were like a festival at home. Some of our friends were moved to Vashi but that increased amount of news to share and that resulted full night bakbak sessions. Preparating for Certifications and at the same time preparing for PRARAMBH- our valedictory function and waiting for the final allocation. Some left for Pune, some for Vashi-Mahape, Some for Vashi-ML towers,  Some for Powai. Hunt for new flats with new roommates…oops …with friends � , not strangers anymore. For those in G4 it wasn’t enough as they were supposed to shift to vashi after two months training. Finally by Dec’05 everyone was settled. Then comes Christmas and New Year celebrations with new mentors, new colleagues. Some were getting onboarded, some moved to CoE. Team certifications and filling forms etc. There used to be more fun than work. Bhajiya Parties, Tea/Coffee/Sutta Breaks, Snacks break. Lunch time was like a festival gathering. Observing people, telling stories, leg pulling. Day by day bonds just grew stronger. Getting mails with subjects ‘Sweets at my desk’ / ‘Chocolates at my desk’ were the most popular ones. IP messenger became the best friend for everyone. Projects, deadlines, Go Live, calls, tickets, support.. some of the new additions to our dictionary. New campus in Powai and then New building in Vashi. With the organization we all also grew.. and we completed 2 full circles from 24th May’05 to 24th May’07 and we met at Kumar Resorts@Lonavala for our Big Get Together.""

Now dat bring tears to any of those 103 birds...a heart written out..The first 6 months was the best of what life could give us..Keep Smiling! Take Care..

a New Day haS CoMe...

A wedding is a start of togetherness... of walks in the rain, basking in the sunshine, shared meals, caring for one another and the love that a marriage carries.

Pradyumna..the lambi race ka ghoda..has finally decided to move beyond his bachelorhood and get settled with a very beautiful lady from Pune..The formal invitation for the shaadi will come in later ....though party is pakka :)

Congratulations a Lot Pradyumna! Wish you good luck in starting life together with the sacred seven feras for vigor, vitality, prosperity and happiness, to share possessions in all seasons and to enter into a relationship of ever lasting friendship. May God bless the couple with Joy and Happiness.

I'm sure everyone at PRA (current and Amended) is happy to hear this great news today... and is excited to attend the wedding( incase he's kind enough to keep the wedding dates on convenient weekends ;P )
